Established in 2018, the AERO Club is Duke's Aerospace society. AERO's engineering team designs and builds high-powered rockets for the annual Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC).
Duke SEDS
Duke Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (Duke SEDS) brings together students from across disciplines who are interested in space science, policy, technology, medicine, and engineering. Duke Robotics Club
The Duke Robotics Club is an interdisciplinary team of student engineers dedicated to advancing the field of robotics. They compete annually in the RoboSub underwater robotics competition, a US Navy-sponsored competition that challenges student teams to design and build autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). The sea is a fantastic analog for Space. Check it out!
Duke | NCCU Air Force ROTC
Air Force ROTC Detachment 585, located at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina proudly serves both Duke University and North Carolina Central University. Their mission is to “Develop Leaders of Character for Tomorrow’s Air Force and Space Force”, promote careers in the U.S. Air Force and Space Force, and to serve as a military educational program for men and women in any major. The ROTC program complements the studies required for your chosen major, and courses are open to all students whether enrolled in the ROTC program or not.
